Fully Recognised By WFME

WFME:

ACCM has been fully recognised by the The World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
WFME has stated: “The Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine was recognised as working to standards that have been appropriately formulated and applied. The Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine is deemed to be credible in the quality of its policies and procedures to assure the quality of medical education in programmes and schools that it accredits”.

The period of recognition is for ten years until 31st December 2026.

NCFMEA:

In its listing for ACCM the National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA), part of the United States Department of Education, has listed ACCM as “found to use standards to accredit their medical schools that are comparable to the standards used to accredit medical schools in the United States”.

ECFMG:

The Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG®) has announced that, effective from 2024, individuals applying for ECFMG Certification must be a student or graduate of a medical school that is appropriately accredited. More specifically, the school must be accredited by an accrediting agency that is officially recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).

ACCM, as an internationally recognised medical accrediting agency, has gained WFME recognition until 2026 and is thereby fully compliant with ECFMG’s accreditation requirements.
